ロビン・ボディスボー（Robin Bodisbaugh）は、クライアント・ディベロップメント・マネジャー（Client Development Manager）として3月に入社しました。前職では、米国消化器病学会（American Gastroenterological Association＝AGA）の会報誌であるGastroenterology誌の出版部門のマネージング・エディターおよびディレクターを務め、当学会誌へのオンライン投稿、ピアレビュー管理のためにManuscript Central™の選定や実装業務に携わっていました。戦略開発部門副社長のボブ・ロイドは、「ロビンは、前職ではManuscript Central™のユーザーであり、科学、技術、医学ジャーナルのワークフローの最適化を図る弊社のソリューションの使用経験を豊富に持っています。毎日Manuscript Central™のシステムを使用する編集スタッフが同システムへの移行を簡単に行えるようにすることが、彼女の目標です」と述べています。

ScholarOne, Inc., the leading provider of Web-based solutions for scholarly publishers, has achieved its first quarter 2001 recruiting goals by adding 15 new staff members to its team of technology and marketing professionals. With the new additions, the company has 60 full-time employees dedicated to creating and implementing systems to manage the complete publication cycle from submission through publication for journals, abstract books, and proceedings books.
Robin Bodishbaugh joined ScholarOne® in March as Client Development Manager. Earlier in her career, Bodishbaugh was Managing Editor and Director of Publications for Gastroenterology, the journal of the American Gastroenterological Association（AGA）. In that role, Bodishbaugh selected and implemented ScholarOne's Manuscript Central™ to manage the online submission and peer review for the AGA's journal. "As a former user of Manuscript Central™, Robin brings a wealth of experience in using our solutions to help optimize the workflow for scientific, technical, and medical journals," said Bob Lloyd, VP Marketing and Strategic Development. "Her goal is to make the transition to Manuscript Central™ an easy one for editorial staff members who will use the system on a daily basis."
Also joining ScholarOne® is Bruce McClelland, Knowledge Architect. McClelland was a Project Manager for Research & Development at Ovid Technologies. "The concept of what constitutes the publication of scholarly research is changing rapidly," said McClelland, "as researchers, scholarly societies, and publishers become empowered with the ability to present research in a range of innovative ways. By optimizing the submission, peer review, production, and publication processes, ScholarOne® provides the tools to present research in ways that will have maximum impact."
ScholarOne's technology team is led by Del Wood, Chief Information Officer, who joined the company in January. "Del Wood brings the systems scaling and implementation experience that will enable ScholarOne's clients to meet their goals," said Bill Carden, CEO. "Del developed his expertise in creating solutions for some of the most demanding clients in the world, at IBM consulting, at Value America, and at BoxerJam. His relationships have helped build one of the best technology teams in the area, in a highly competitive market." A few of the individuals joining Wood are Dave Wengrovitz, Director of Professional Services, and Mary Grove, Consulting Manager. Wengrovitz joins ScholarOne® with more than 10 years experience in interactive media applications, and Grove joins with more than 14 years experience at two successful high-growth companies.
ScholarOne's growth is expected to continue with the opening of its new office in Oxford, England, about one hour from London.
