米国バージニア州シャーロッツビル、2001年4月3日―学術出版社向けのWebベースの編集/制作マネジメント・ソリューションのリーディング・プロバイダーであるScholarOneは本日、英国のRCPコンサルタント（RCP Consultants, Ltd.）からGlobal Editorと関連する製品を買収したと発表しました。この契約条件によると、ScholarOneは、Global EditorとRMTSマニュスクリプト・トラッキング・システム、およびRPTSプロダクション・トラッキング・システムの所有権を引き継ぐことになり ます。Global Editorとその前身であるRMTSは、世界中の多数の科学、技術、医学ジャーナルの間で利用されています。

Charlottesville, VA, USA - ScholarOne, Inc., the leading provider of Web-based editorial and production management solutions for scholarly publishers, today announced the acquisition of Global Editor and related products from RCP Consultants, Ltd., of the UK. Under the terms of the agreement, ScholarOne® will take ownership of the Global Editor and RMTS manuscript tracking system, as well as the RPTS production tracking system. Global Editor and its predecessor, RMTS, are in use by hundreds of scientific, technical, and medical journals around the world.

Global Editor, RMTS, and RPTS will join ScholarOne's existing suite of applications for submission, peer review, tracking, production, and publication of journals, proceedings, and abstracts.

With the new additions, the company has 60 full-time employees dedicated to scholarly publishing workflow solutions. ScholarOne® also announced the opening of its UK office in Oxford.
