Bob Lloyd, Vice President Strategic Development and Marketing, and Eric Keathley, Director of Product Management, of ScholarOne will be featured at the 2004 Forum on XML Authoring/Editing & Content Management presenting 'Rules-Based Document Interrogation for Automated XML Markup and Transformation'. The Forum is sponsored by Federal Government XML Working Group and the Washington, DC-Area XML Users Group and will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2004. ScholarOne's presentation will address its approach to streamlining pre-press editorial work for scholarly journals by providing preliminary XML markup and language style redactory transformations on author-submitted manuscripts.
The Federal Government XML Working Group and the Washington, DC Area XML Users Group（DC XMLUG）Forum is the second in a series of open forums. The conference will have two parallel tracks; 1）content management strategies and tools, and 2）the challenges and current status of government regulatory and legislative publishing. The major emphasis of both tracks will be the growing use of XML for complex, interactive content management and publishing.
Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss a range of different strategies for supporting the document and content management needs of government agencies and other organizations to help them keep pace with the growing challenges of electronic content and e-government.
