日本語版の第一号ユーザーである日本消化器外科学会は、同学会の刊行する日本語論文誌「日本消化器外科学会雑誌」にScholarOne Manuscriptsを採用しました。これにより、従来の郵送による論文原稿の受け渡しからオンライン化されたシステムへ移行し、効率のよい論文査読プロセスの実施が可能になりました。杏林舎では、これを皮切りに、日本語論文のクオリティ向上をめざすより多くの日本語雑誌への導入を図ります。
トムソン・ロイターが有するデータベース・ツールの日本語化は、弊社が追求するグローバル多言語展開の一環です。2月21日（米国時間）に発表したWeb of Knowledgeの日本語インターフェースと合わせ、弊社の世界戦略で重要な位置を占める日本市場により包括的なソリューションを提供します。今後も、日本語ユーザーにとっての使い勝手ならびに情報共有を強化するとともに、発展する世界の学術コミュニケーションのニーズを取り込みながら、より身近で使いやすい製品を展開してまいります。

Philadelphia, PA, London, UK, — May 18, 2010 — Thomson Reuters today announced the availability of a Japanese version of the industry-leading peer review system, ScholarOne Manuscripts (formerly Manuscript Central), as part of their renewed partnership with Kyorinsha Co., Ltd. The new version offers a Japanese language interface, combined with key components in the original system to allow for the full support capabilities users have come to expect from ScholarOne. This release enhances usability and information sharing for Japanese-speaking users and supports the Thomson Reuters research workflow solution suite for the extensive Japanese scientific community.

Several organizations in the region have already started using this system. The first user, The Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Surgery, selected ScholarOne Manuscript’s Japanese system for use in The Japanese Journal of Gastroenterological Surgery.
